In a historic move that signals a bold new era for professional football in Louisiana, the New Orleans Saints have officially broken ground on a state-of-the-art permanent grandstand and VIP suite expansion at the Caesars Superdome site. The ambitious construction project will increase seating capacity to over 100,000, making it one of the largest stadiums in the NFL.
The upgrade includes a luxury tier of VIP suites, interactive fan zones, and enhanced accessibility features. Team executives, city officials, and NFL representatives gathered for a ceremonial groundbreaking, marking the start of what many are calling a “game-changing” moment for the franchise and the city.
“This is more than just a stadium expansion—it’s an investment in our fans, our city, and the future of football in New Orleans,” said Saints owner Gayle Benson during the ceremony.
Construction is expected to be completed by the start of the 2027 NFL season, with minimal disruption to upcoming home games thanks to a phased building plan.
