In a powerful act of community service and compassion, Memphis Grizzlies star point guard Ja Morant has announced a $7.5 million investment to convert one of his properties into a state-of-the-art shelter for homeless youth in the heart of Memphis.
The new facility, set to open in early 2026, will offer housing, education resources, mental health services, and job training programs for at-risk youth in the city. The move comes as part of Morant’s growing commitment to using his platform and resources to uplift underserved communities.
“I’ve been blessed with opportunities most people only dream of,” Morant said in a statement. “Now it’s time to make sure our kids have a place to feel safe, supported, and seen.”
City officials and community leaders have praised the initiative, calling it a “game-changing investment in the future of Memphis.”
