Netflix’s highly anticipated docuseries Receiver, featuring Minnesota Vikings star Justin Jefferson, premiered on July 10, 2024, and is now available for streaming. This eight-episode series offers an in-depth look into the lives of five elite NFL pass catchers during the 2023 season. In addition to Jefferson, the series highlights Davante Adams (Las Vegas Raiders), Amon-Ra St. Brown (Detroit Lions), Deebo Samuel, and George Kittle (both of the San Francisco 49ers).
The series delves into Jefferson’s journey, showcasing his resilience through a significant hamstring injury that sidelined him for eight weeks, his adaptation to playing with backup quarterbacks, and his recovery process. It also provides a glimpse into his personal life, including his passion for candy, which he humorously refers to as an addiction.
Produced by NFL Films, Omaha Productions, and 2PM Productions, Receiver follows the success of Netflix’s previous series Quarterback, which featured Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins. The series offers fans an unprecedented behind-the-scenes look at the lives of some of the NFL’s top receivers.
For more insights into Justin Jefferson’s journey, he is also featured in NFL Films’ series A Football Life: Origins, available for streaming on NFL+. This episode explores his rise from a two-star recruit to becoming one of the NFL’s most dominant wide receivers.
