In the build-up to what promises to be a blockbuster clash this Saturday, Collingwood head coach Craig McRae has delivered a pointed warning to the Geelong Cats, signaling that his side is ready to reclaim dominance after a mixed start to the season.
Speaking at a media briefing on Thursday morning, McRae didn’t mince words when addressing the challenge ahead. “We know what Geelong brings – experience, structure, and grit,” McRae said. “But we’re not backing down. We’re coming in hard, fast, and with something to prove.”
The statement comes amid rising tension between the two clubs, who have built a fierce rivalry over the past few seasons, including their dramatic preliminary final encounter last year.
