BREAKING NEWS:Daniel Sedin Returns to Vancouver with MASSIVE 4-years deals After… details more.

In a stunning development that has rocked the hockey world, Daniel Sedin is returning to the Vancouver Canucks — not in a front-office role, but as a player, signing a massive 4-year deal reportedly worth $28 million.

The 44-year-old Swedish legend, who retired in 2018 and was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2022 alongside his twin brother Henrik, has spent recent years working in player development for the Canucks. But after months of training behind the scenes and reportedly impressing team officials in private workouts, Sedin is lacing up the skates once more.

Sources close to the team say the Canucks were “blown away” by Sedin’s conditioning, hockey IQ, and leadership — and see him as a key veteran presence to help mentor a young core and push for a deep playoff run.

“I never stopped loving this game,” Sedin said at a surprise press conference held at Rogers Arena. “The fire came back. I’m ready to compete.”

The Canucks, who missed the playoffs last season by a narrow margin, are looking to shake things up and make a bold statement — and they’ve certainly done that.

Henrik Sedin, meanwhile, will remain in his executive role but jokingly said he’ll “keep a spot warm on the bench, just in case.”
