Earlier today, shockwaves rippled through the Arkansas Razorbacks’ soccer program as star goalkeeper Taylen Green was suspended indefinitely following a positive test result, university officials confirmed.
The suspension stems from an internal athletic department investigation, which revealed that Green tested positive for a banned substance. While the exact nature of the substance has not yet been disclosed, sources close to the program say it triggered an automatic suspension under NCAA anti-doping policies.
Green, a key figure in the Razorbacks’ recent success and known for his commanding presence on the pitch, was immediately removed from team activities. His absence comes at a crucial point in the season, with Arkansas entering a stretch of high-stakes conference matches.
Head coach Mark Kessler addressed the media briefly, saying:
“We are disappointed, and we’re cooperating fully with the investigation. Our focus is on supporting our players and maintaining the integrity of the program.”
Green has not yet made a public statement, but a representative indicated he may appeal the suspension once more details are released
