Watkins, who transferred to South Carolina last season and quickly became a fan favorite with her explosive plays and leadership on the court, dropped a bombshell announcement that has sent shockwaves through the college basketball world. Standing alongside Coach Staley, Watkins revealed that she will be declaring for the WNBA Draft a year early, citing “a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity” and the readiness to take her game to the next level.
